SUSTAINABLE

We are a chemistry research group based at Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom. Our research interests span from the design of novel catalysts based on d- and p-block elements to uncover previously unknown pathways to the discovery of new synthetic organic transformations. The main goal of the research group is to provide original ligand designscatalytic sustainable methodologies and in-depth mechanistic understanding.

In our group diversity is considered as a resource, a strength and a benefit. Thus, it is our intent that students from diverse backgrounds, lifestyles, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomical and cultural status and disabilities be well-served by our research laboratory. We are fully committed to promoting equity and enhancing diversity in our group as well as in the university, helping students from underrepresented backgrounds succeed in their careers. Overall, we consider faculty must cultivate a diverse community of people, making chemistry available for everyone.

If interested in joining our research group, please provide CV and cover letter to o.planasfabrega(at)qmul.ac.uk to discuss funding opportunities.
